1 Introduction
Thank you for purchasing and using SwellPro products!
The AquaRID Remote Identification (Remote ID) module (also A-RID)adds a "beacon" function to drones to broadcast basic information about the onboard drone, such as the operator's registration number, drone serial number, and current location. The EU and USA have new rules that make Remote ID mandatory for drones over 250 grams of weight. The beacon information can be used by the general public, law enforcement, and drones to give better situation awareness of the airspace around them.
AquaRID is an add-on for drones that broadcasts Remote ID beacon signals.

1.3 Install
Attach AquaRID on the top of your drone for optimal performance.
- Install AquaRID using brackets and 3M double-sided adhesive tape
First, clean the surface remove the 3M double-sided adhesive protective sticker, and apply even pressure to stick the A-RID to the drone or bracket.
Note: for a good adhesion/grip, place the double-sided tape and apply firm consistent pressure to ensure good contact with the substrate you are adhering to. Also, it needs 1 hour to 72 hours (preferred) to build a (full) adhesion to the surface. In addition, it is important that the adhesive base for the tape is free of grease and dry, and that it is not covered with a removable lacquer or a layer of paper.
For Fisherman Max:
- Begin by affixing the 3M adhesive to the underside of the beacon module.
- Subsequently, attach the beacon module, now with the 3M adhesive, to the plastic mounting fixture on the rear arm of the drone. (As shown below)
For Fisherman 3/SplashDrone 4:
- Securely adhere the beacon module to the provided bracket.
- Using screws, fasten the bracket to the drone above the antenna mounting location. (As shown below)
For Fisherman FD1+:
- Attach the beacon module to the provided bracket.
- Secure the bracket to the side of the drone using screws. (As shown below)
For SplashDrone 2:
- First, apply the 3M adhesive to the underside of the beacon module.
- Then, adhere the beacon module, with the 3M adhesive, to the top cover of the drone. Please pay attention to avoid the position with waterproof barometric membrane in the middle! (As shown below)
For Spry/Spry+:
- First, apply the 3M adhesive to the underside of the beacon module.
- Then, adhere the beacon module, with the 3M adhesive, to the top cover of the drone. (As shown below)
