Broken connection after FW upgrade
Hello all
I just upgraded the firmware on my SD4 and now I cannot communicated with the drone via the SDFly app. I can connect to the SWPxxxx wifi and the app appears to connect when I login. However once logged into the app I have zero control. No video, no settings, no location, cannot calibrate compass etc.
The drone responds via the remote control as expected.
Details:
Drone = V02
Remote = V02
GC1-S Camera/Gimbal
Firmware used: V05 For V01_V02 drone, V05 For Non-V1.34 remote, Image Transmission Firmware 5.8G
Note: The V05 firmware is the only firmware that will run on the remote. 2.4G and 58G firware load without error and I can pair the devices.
Andriod phone.
When tested with an Iphone the status bar top left says "Disconnected". Andriod just says it cannot take off.
UPDATE: after reading the docs that came with the firmware I reflashed everything again.
Recommended firmware upgrade sequence: Image transmission → Aircraft → Remote control →Gimbal → Camera
I loaded the V05 firmware. After loading the 5G Image Transmission firmware I paired the units then flashed the drone then the remote.
Again I can fly the drone with the remote, I can operate the thrower. I can connect to the SWP-xxxxxx wifi via my Android, but when i login to the drone via the app its like the connection is broken. Hence no control via the app.
Any thoughts would be most helpful.

This is the second time I am having to send my SD4 back to the repairer to have this issue resolved. This is a 5-6 week turn around. If the SD4 is that fragile I'm not sure it is for me. I'm now looking to replace it with another brand.
Technical support when attempting to resolve issues on your own without being forced to send it back for repair is really bad.
I was hoping this forum would be monitored by swellpro and would assist. It seems it is not monitored.

Since your drone is the old version, so there are a lot of factors will affect your using. Please feel free to contact our support team support@swellpro.com.
Usually we don't suggest customers update firmware by themselves. After updating, the app should be SDfly2.

I cannot find the app (SDfly2) suggested. All links are broken.
Yes there are a lot of factors that affect my use of the drone, however there are only a few factors that affect what firmware I can install and what firmware will actually work. And given I installed the firmware indicated for my device I am somewhat perplexed by what has become an unnecessarily complicated event.
To simplifly matters for me, are you able to provide active links to the correct firmware and/or app I should be using for my device in order to make it fully functional again.
